I get a view of the White House!

Today Brandon and I wanted to test run walking to the U.S Chamber of Commerce to see how long it would take us to get to work everyday. Clare came with us and off we went armed with umbrellas and cameras. It had rained over night and althought it wasn't raining when we set out, it was still grey and wet. Not bad though, it was good weather. The snow is supposed to be here already and all the locals are wondering where it is and why the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom in the winter?!

It took us 15 minutes to walk to the Chamber, but that was slow walking with stops to take pictures and "futz" around. What really got me excited was the fact that the White house is directly across the street from where I'm working at so seeing the White House will now become part of m everyday life. I can't believe I'm here and doing this, i still need to pinch myself.

We took pictures in front of the White House and, as always, I like to clown around and take stupid pictures to add to my collection of memories.

I really really REALLY like Washington D.C. The buildings are so pretty, there's so many places to see, and so many things to learn. There's also a heap of statues around so Brandon and I have made it our mission to take a picture of every statue we see and then make a slide show of all of them at the end of our stay. Today alone I think we saw about 15.

Anyway, I don't know what is planned for the weekend yet, but I really wanna get down to the Holocaust Museum and Air and Space Museum at one point. Suzie is also coming to visit soon, she's gonna stay for a few days. I can't wait!

Latyz and Hersheys,
Veronica
