A hang over, Snow, & Chilli Dogs

After spending all day in the apartment yesterday trying to work up the motivation to do my school work I was dying to go out and have a good night... but everyone was being gay and wasn't in the mood. Finally, at 11pm they stopped being so boring and myself and 6 others headed to "Hawk n' Dove", a little pub/club near the Capitol. Long story short, I woke up today at midday with a throbbing headache and to Laura jumping onto my bed to recap all the things we experienced the night before, just to make sure I could remember. When I find someone who had their camera lastnight, i'll post some of the Hawk n Dove pictures.

Anyway, I'm laying in bed with my eyes still closed listening to Laura tell me stories, and then I hear "Oh my god! Its been snowing so hard for the last 2 hours. Look!" I hesitantly open my eyes and prop myself up to look out the window to see everything covered in a layer of white and huge snowflakes falling.

The view from my window

So this got me out of bed despite my killer hangover. I only have 3 weeks left in D.C., it could very well be the last time it snows like this. I had to make the most of it and go take some happy snaps (that is of course after Laura and I soaked up the alcohol left in our bodies with a Mcdonalds feast).

Brandon and I went across the street into the middle of the roundabout where the snow covered trees and statues set the perfect wintery scene. See everyone! I really am living in the snow!

The statue looks like Santa Clause

The Australian Embassy is right across the street from our building.

I throw like a girl

After playing in the snow we came back to the center and Ming Ray ak.a. Milo was all ready to go out to "Ben's Chilli Bowl", the Washington D.C. equivalent to L.A's "Pink's". Much like Pink's many a celebrity has dined at the Chilli Bowl and if you decide to eat in there's a continually running DVD with different TV spots that have mentioned Bens Chilli Bowl including an Oprah interview with Bill Cosby who is an advocate of the restaurant.

So Milo, Brandon, Laura and I walked all the way to U and 12 streets, enjoying the slippery sidewalks and hitting tree branches ahead for the snow to fall on each other. We tried their famous Original Half Smoke Chilli dog and Chilli Cheese Fries.... not as good as Pink's but still good.

So yeah, that was my Sunday. The End.
