International Day in Downtown Riverside

A couple of weekends ago Roland, Amelie, and some of the other French students participated in Downtown Riverside's International Day. Brandon, Laura, and I went check it out and show some support for the little French stand that Roland and the others were in charge of.

Every country was represented and the strip was divided into regions - Africa, Europe, The Americas etc. Laura was happy to find the Ireland stand, and while the UCR Hilanders played their bagpipes...

...I spent some time trying to convince the American guys in charge of the Australian stand that I really was on exchange from Australia.

Laura got a quick hand massage at the Samoa table, while Brandon hung out at original the Olympics.

It was a fun day. I won a blow up globe because I knew what a four letter African language starting with "Z". We watched performances from some countries like Thailand & India. Roland and Amelie had one of the better stalls with cheese and crepes, and an Eiffel tower.
