My 21st Birthday

For the past 6 months I have been living the under-age life in the U.S. but last weekend I finally turned 21. It was like turning 18 all over again.

I guess I missed home a lot since turning 21 is usually a big deal at home, but my family here in California made the most of it and we had a party at my cousins house. My Aunty and Uncle are here from the Philippines and along with my cousins they cooked and prepared for my birthday non-stop for the few days leading up to it.

Most of my friends were away on Spring Break but the few that were still in the area came along to experience a Filipino celebration.
